Rememberance weekend is an important time for my family, remembering my dad who was a veteran, as well as the many brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I feel it is important to think of all those who volunteered so I encouraged my two eldest children to take part in this year's commemeration events. Together we attended a beautiful service and they carried their grandad in their hearts.

I also wanted to help with fundraising so offered for the HP team to sell poppies and raise money for the British Legion.

Thank you to our veterans for their hard work in keeping us safe, and the many who died for our freedom.
